How Do I Accept Christ As My Personal Savior?

The Bible teaches that we must know God personally in order to go to Heaven when we die. First of all write down or think of what you would say to God if you’d died today and stood before Him and He asked, “why should I let you into my heaven?’ Now follow the steps below and determine if you know God personally!

Step 1.  God loves you and created you to have a fellowship with Him. He wants you to spend eternity with Him. “Jesus said, ‘I am going away to prepare a place for you. If I go away and prepare a place for you, I will come back and receive you to Myself, so that where I am, you may be also.”John 14:2-3

Step 2.  What keeps us from going to Heaven like we are? Because of sin we cannot be with God unless we get rid of it. Sin is anything we do that is not pleasing to God. The Bible says we all by nature and by chance, sin. ”For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”. Romans 3:23

The Bible says we cannot save ourselves.”For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift – not from
works, so that no one can boast”. Ephesians 2:8-9

Step 3. The Bible teaches that, through Jesus Christ is the only way we can receive God’s forgiveness and get to Heaven. Jesus told him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. ” John 14:6

Jesus Christ died in our place. ‘”But God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us!”
Romans 5:8

Step 4. The Bible says we must repent, I.e. Turn from our sins and receive Christ into our life. ”Therefor repent and turn back, so that your sins may be wiped out, that seasons of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord”. Acts 3:19

Faith is like flying on an airplane. You can believe it exists but until you step on it you won’t fly. ”For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift”.
Ephesians 2:8

How do I receive Jesus Christ into my life? By personal invitation! And you can do that right now!

Tell God this. ‘”Lord God. I realize that I have sinned and I am truly sorry, and I turn from my sins. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and rose again. I ask that you forgive me of all my sins and I relieve you as my Savior and Lord. Thank you for forgiving my sins and saving me!”
